Compensation

Hourly Pay: You will be paid at a rate of $18.00 per hour as Hourly Base Pay for all time spent working. Time spent working includes time spent performing activities that should be logged as on-duty, driving (Line 3) and on-duty, not driving (Line 4) under the federal Hours of Service (HOS) Regulations, 49 C.F.R. Part 395, as described in the Hours-of-Service Policy. This includes all non-driving related work time, such as receiving dispatches, trip planning, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fueling, waiting to load and unload, rest breaks, and completing and returning paperwork.

Production Pay: You will also have the opportunity to earn Production Pay at a flat rate of $50.00 for each
satisfactorily delivered load each week. The Production Pay is not designed to provide extra compensation for
only time spent driving or delivering any particular load. Rather, it is an additional incentive for the satisfactory
delivery of the load, including all of the on-duty, non-driving tasks required to complete a satisfactory delivery.
These tasks include, but are not limited to, receiving dispatches, trip planning, pre-trip and post-trip inspections,
fueling, waiting to load and unload, rest breaks, and completing and returning paperwork.

Conditional Minimum Pay: In addition to Hourly Base Pay and Production Pay, you may also qualify for
Conditional Minimum Pay if certain conditions are met. Conditional Minimum Pay will be paid at the difference
between $1,500 and the combination of your Hourly Base Pay, Production Pay (if any), Holiday Pay (if any),
and Paid Sick Leave pay (if any) for the pay period. For example, if the combination of a driver’s Hourly Base
Pay and Production Pay for a pay period totals $1,000, and the driver fulfills the conditions described below,
the driver will be paid $500 in Conditional Minimum Pay in addition to the $1,000 in Hourly Base Pay and
Production Pay.

Conditions Required to Qualify for Conditional Minimum Pay: To qualify for Conditional Minimum Pay for
any workweek, you must have:
  • Already completed orientation (i.e., Conditional Minimum Pay is not available during orientation);
  • Reported from your reset on time for the workweek;

  • Work your last scheduled shift prior to and your first scheduled shift after any paid holiday during workweeks with holidays that qualify for Holiday Pay.
*If you qualify for and take Paid Sick Leave during a workweek, you may still qualify for Conditional Minimum
Pay for the workweek, but your Paid Sick Leave pay will be taken into account with your week’s earnings before
calculating any Conditional Minimum Pay for which you qualify.
